Guido Santana is a violinist born in Sao Paulo in 2005. After participating in the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition in 2018 and winning the Audience Award and the Chamber Music Award, in 2022 he became the first South American player to win the Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition. Currently studying at Kronberg Academy, he performs with major orchestras in Brazil, Europe, Korea, and other countries around the world. In this album, he performed Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky's violin concertos together with Thierry Fischer, who has been the music director and chief conductor of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra since 2020. Facing the classic repertoire of masterpieces, he will perform on a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin made in 1874, supported by a beautiful, firm tone and rich sensitivity.
