Product description "Hario Coffee Siphon Miniphone DA-1SV" is a very small coffee siphon for one person. Hario's coffee siphon can be used for a long time with peace of mind because even if the glass balls (upper and lower balls) break, the parts are still available. You can also use it over an open flame.
How to use (1) Place the filter cloth in the filter vessel with the brushed side facing up. Place the strainer in the urinary ball, pull the chain, and hook the hook onto the tip of the foot tube to secure it. Make sure you can see the small hole (pressure adjustment hole) under the rubber gasket. (2) Put the coffee grounds into the upper bowl using a lightweight spoon. The standard amount for one cup of coffee is one scoop (approximately 12 g) poured into a lightweight spoon. Please increase the amount according to your preference. (3) Pour 1 cup (130-140ml) of hot or cold water into the lower bowl. The approximate water level is approximately 15mm below the stand. Insert the upper ball. Make sure the pressure adjustment hole is not hidden under water. If it is hidden, reduce the amount of water. The cotton wick should be about 1mm from the tinder. (4) Light the alcohol lamp. Place the alcohol lamp in the center of the lower bowl. There is a pressure adjustment hole in the foot tube of the upper ball, so it will rise naturally when the water boils. (5) Once the hot water in the lower bowl has risen, stir with a spoon to loosen the water and continue heating for about 1 minute. (If the amount of hot water is too large or the heat is too strong, a small amount of coffee may spill out from the upper bowl.) (6) After heating, move the stand away from the alcohol lamp, cover the lamp lid, turn off the flame, and wait for the coffee to drip from the upper bowl. (7) Once the coffee has dripped into the lower bowl, hold the stand firmly with one hand, tilt the upper bowl toward the stand, and gently remove it, then stand the upper bowl upright. (8) Pour into a warmed cup and enjoy.
